Sill Family Vineyards’ très Rosé de Chardonnay just won a gold medal from China Wine and Spirits Awards (CWSA), the most influential wine and spirits award in the world. Considered the ultimate seal of approval in China, a CWSA award is comparable to an Academy Awards Oscar, with 100 CWSA judges carefully blind tasting over 6,000 competing wines from 58 countries. Long renowned internationally as the biggest and most prestigious wine and spirits competition in China, CWSA Judges are the most powerful and qualified wine judges in China. Crafted as an industry first, Sill Family Vineyards’ ultra-premium, limited production hand-crafted Chardonnay-based Rosé from the exceptional Sonoma Coast, along with a splash of the prestigious Georges de Latour Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, achieves the absolute peak of perfection for rosé. “For years, I’ve studied producing a superior California rosé born of my Provence and Bandol memories. A rosé that’s rich, elegant, ultra quality and an extraordinarily different rosé from those available anywhere on the planet.
This rosé embodies subtlety and structure as it paints the unique impressions of a beautifully floral Burgundian-styled California rosé. The reception to this wine has been tremendous! Essentially, we’re introducing an ultra premium rosé for serious rosé lovers while making a real difference in the industry,” states Sill. “We are thrilled that our très Rosé de Chardonnay achieved the coveted CWSA Gold medal for 2019,” reported Sill Family Vineyards’ Winemaker, Igor Sill. “We are very excited by the growth we are seeing in China’s fine wine segment as China is a key and important growth market for us.”

ABOUT Sill Family Vineyards: Sill Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery and estate vineyards dedicated to hand crafting exceptional, ultra-premium, limited production wines. As a Court of Master Sommelier, Winemaker, Igor Sill became passionate about Bordeaux wines after being introduced to Château Margaux, Château Latour, Château Haut-Brion and Château Lafite Rothschild in the late 1970s by H. Lyman Emerson, a renaissance gentleman and noted fine wine collector. We hand craft award-winning, world class volcanic, high elevation Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Chardonnay and a uniquely obscure Rosé combining new world vineyard advancements with the graceful sophistication of old world Grand cru Bordeaux and Burgundy. Robert Parker extended a 97 points rating to this vineyard’s 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon vintage and Wine Spectator rated it 98 points. Our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon received the coveted CWSA 2018 Wine of the Year award, as well as the Double Gold Medal.
