High Above Napa, Rooted in Nature

The Magic of Atlas Peak

At its best, wine is an expression of place—and there is no place quite like Atlas Peak. Perched high above the valley floor at 1,450 feet, our estate vineyard lies on a secluded volcanic plateau, nestled in the heart of the prestigious Atlas Peak AVA. Just 12 minutes above the Silverado Trail, this hidden gem offers a rare blend of untamed beauty, timeless viticultural tradition, and precision organic farming that sets it apart from the bustle of downtown Napa, Yountville, and Calistoga.

Here, the combination of west-facing slopes, crisp mountain air, and dramatic volcanic soils creates the ideal setting for producing wines of exceptional depth, structure, and elegance. Our 24+ acres of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (18%), and Petit Verdot (2%) flourish in a tranquil environment where pure rainfall, cooling breezes, and abundant sunshine allow the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. Being above the fog line gives our vineyard an extra hour of sunlight compared to valley floor sites—further enhancing the intensity and complexity of our grapes.

Our growing philosophy begins with stewardship. We treat the vineyard as a living part of a greater ecosystem, employing a total systems approach to organic farming. We emphasize minimal soil disruption, water conservation, and smart energy use. An advanced wastewater reclamation system helps prevent runoff and erosion, ensuring our land remains as pristine as the day it was planted. These practices have earned us multiple sustainability certifications, including Fish Friendly Farming, Napa Green, and National Wildlife Federation recognition.

“We are proud to be an Organic & Biodynamic Winery with these Certifications
We never use synthetic chemicals or petroleum-based products—only the cleanest, most natural inputs nature can provide.

Equally vital to our expression of terroir is our use of wild, native yeast for fermentation. Carried by the mountain air, birds, bees, and insects, these indigenous yeasts naturally inhabit our vineyard and grape skins, initiating a spontaneous fermentation that is as unique and alive as the land itself. Each vintage becomes a living portrait of this environment—its soil, its climate, its invisible ecosystem.

On clear days, the view from our vineyard is breathtaking: a sweeping mosaic of Napa Valley unfolds below, with glimpses of Mt. Tamalpais, Mt. Diablo, and the shimmer of the San Francisco Bay on the horizon. Hot air balloons float silently above the vines, as if paying tribute to the magic of this elevated place.

We are humbled to farm this land, and we believe that what is best for our vineyard is also best for the planet. Every decision we make is guided by a commitment to quality, sustainability, and a deep respect for the natural world—so that future generations may continue to craft and enjoy wines that are truly rooted in place, and elevated in every sense.
